I am God.

Today I will be handling all of your problems. Please remember that I do not need your help.

If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, do not attempt to resolve it. Kindly put it in the SFGTD (something for God to do) box. It will be addressed in My time, not yours. Once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold on to it.

If you find yourself stuck in traffic; don't despair. There are people in this world for whom driving is an unheard of privilege.

Should you have a bad day at work; think of the man who has been out of work for years.

Should you despair over a relationship gone bad; think of the person who has never known what it's like to love and be loved in return.

Should you grieve the passing of another weekend; think of the woman in dire straits, working twelve hours a day, seven days a week to feed her children.

Should your car break down, leaving you miles away from assistance; think of the paraplegic who would love the opportunity to take that walk.

Should you notice a new gray hair in the mirror; think of the cancer patient in chemo who wishes she had hair to examine.

Should you find yourself at a loss and pondering what is life all about, asking what is my purpose? Be thankful. There are those who didn't live long enough to get the opportunity.

Should you find yourself the victim of other people's bitterness, ignorance, smallness or insecurities; remember, things could be worse. You could be them!!!!

Should you decide to send this to a friend; You might brighten someone's day!

THE LORD'S PRAYER

(person) 'Our Father who art in heaven...'

(God) Yes?

(person) Don't interrupt me. I'm praying.

(God) But you called me.

(person) Called you? I didn't call you. I'm praying. "Our Father which art in heaven.."

(God) There you did it again.

(person) Did what?

(God) Called me. You said, "Our Father which art in heaven." Here I am. What's on your mind?

(person) But I didn't mean anything by it. I was, you know, just saying my prayers for the day. I always say the Lord's Prayer. It makes me feel good, kind of like getting a duty done.

(God) All right. Go on.

(person) "Hallowed be thy name..."

(God) Hold it. What do you mean by that?

(person) By what?

(God) By "hallowed be thy name"?

(person) It means... it means... Good grief, I don't know what it means. How should I know? It's just a part of the prayer. By the way, what does it mean?

(God) It means honored, holy, wonderful.

(person) Hey, that makes sense. I never thought about what "hallowed" meant before. "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven."

(God) Do you really mean that?

(person) Sure, why not?

(God) What are you doing about it?

(person) Doing? Nothing, I guess. I just think it would be kind of neat if you got control of everything down here like you have up there.

(God) Have I got control of you?

(person) Well, I go to church.

(God) That isn't what I asked you. What about the way you belittle your peers? You've really got a problem there, you know. And then there's the way you spend your money --- all on yourself. And what about the kind of books you read?

(person) Stop picking on me! I'm just as good as some of the rest of those people at the church.

(God) Excuse me. I thought you were praying for my will to be done. If that is to happen, it will have to start with the ones who are praying for it. Like you, for example.

(person) Oh, all right. I guess I do have some hang-ups. Now that you mention it, I could probably name some others.

(God) So could I.

(person) I haven't thought about it very much until now, but I really would like to cut out some of those things. I would like to, you know, be really free.

(God) Good. Now we're getting somewhere. We'll work together, you and I. Some victories can truly be won. I'm proud of you.

(person) Look, Lord, I need to finish up here. This is taking a lot longer than it usually does. "Give us this day, our daily bread."

(God) You need to cut out the bread. You're overweight as it is.

(person) Hey, wait a minute! What is this, "Criticize me day"? Here I was doing my religious duty, and all of a sudden you break in and remind me of all my hang-ups.

(God) Praying is a dangerous thing. You could wind up changed, you know. That's what I'm trying to get across to you. You called me, and here I am. It's too late to stop now. Keep praying, I'm interested in the next part of your prayer... (pause). Well, go on.

(person) I'm scared to.

(God) Scared? Of what?

(person) I know what you'll say.

(God) Try me and see.

(person) "Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us."

(God) What about Ann?

(person) See? I knew it! I knew you would bring her up! Why, Lord, she's told lies about me, spread stories about my family. She never paid back the debt she owes me. I've sworn to get even with her!

(God) But your prayer? What about your prayer?

(person) I didn't mean it.

(God) Well, at least you're admitting it. But it's not much fun carrying that load of bitterness around inside, is it?

(person) No. But I'll feel better as soon as I get even. Boy, have I got some plans for that neighbor. She'll wish she had never moved into this neighborhood.

(God) You won't feel any better. You'll feel worse. Revenge isn't sweet. Think of how unhappy you already are. But I can change all that.

(person) You can? How?

(God) Forgive Ann. Then I'll forgive you. Then the hate and sin will be Ann's problem and not yours. You will have settled your heart.

(person) Oh, you're right. You always are. And more than I want to revenge Ann, I want to be right with you....(pause)...(sigh). All right. All right. I forgive her. Help her to find the right road in life, Lord. She's bound to be awfully miserable now that I think about it. Anybody who goes around doing the things she does to others has to be out of it. Someway, somehow, show her the right way.

(God) There now! Wonderful! How do you feel?

(person) Hmmm. Well, not bad. Not bad at all. In fact, I feel pretty great! You know, I don't think I'll have to go to bed uptight tonight for the first time since I can remember. Maybe I won't be so tired from now on because I'm not getting enough rest.

(God) You're not through with your prayer. Go on.

(person) Oh, all right. "And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil."

(God) Good! Good! I'll do that. Just don't put yourself in a place where you can be tempted.

(person) What do you mean by that?

(God) Don't turn on the TV when you know the laundry needs to be done and the house needs to be picked up. Also, about the time you spend coffee-ing with your friends, if you can't influence the conversation to positive things, perhaps you should rethink the value of those friendships. Another thing, your neighbors and friends shouldn't be your standard for "keeping up". And please don't use me for an escape hatch.

(person) I don't understand the last part.

(God) Sure you do. You've done it a lot of times. You get caught in a bad situation. You get into trouble and then you come running to me, "Lord, help me out of this mess, and I promise you I'll never do it again." You remember some of those bargains you tried to make with me?

(person) Yes, and I'm ashamed, Lord. I really am.

(God) Which bargain are you remembering?

(person) Well, there was the night that the children and I were home alone. The wind was blowing so hard I thought the roof would go any minute and tornado warnings were out. I remember praying, "Oh, God, if you spare us, I'll never skip my devotions again."

(God) Did you?

(person) I'm sorry, Lord, I really am. Up until now I thought that if I just prayed the Lord's Prayer every day, then I could do what I liked. I didn't expect anything to happen like it did.

(God) Go ahead and finish your prayer.

(person) "For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever." Amen

(God) Do you know what would bring me glory? What would really make me happy?

(person) No, but I'd like to know. I want now to please you. I can see what a mess I've made of my life. And I can see how great it would be to really be one of your followers.

(God) You just answered the question.

(person) I did?

(God) Yes. The thing that would bring me glory is to have people like you truly love me. And I see that happening between us. Now that some of these old sins are exposed and out of the way, well, there is no telling what we can do together.

and I won't stand over you trying to fix them.

I will take you to McDonald's
and buy us both a Happy Meal so you can have both toys.

Just for this evening,
I will hold you in my arms and tell you a story about how you were born,
and how much I love you.

I will let you splash in the tub and not get angry.

I will let you stay up late while we sit on the porch and count all the stars.

I will snuggle beside you for hours, and miss my favorite TV show.

when I run my fingers through your hair as you pray,
I will simply be grateful that God has given me the greatest gift ever given.

I will think about the mothers and fathers who are searching for their missing children, the parents who are visiting their children's graves instead of their bedrooms, and parents who are in hospital rooms watching their children suffer senselessly, and screaming inside that they can't handle it anymore, and when I kiss you goodnight I will hold you a little tighter, a little longer.

It is then that I will thank God for you, and ask him for nothing, except one more day.

Hello and good evening all.

Tonight I am going to share with you all the first and hopefully the last embarrassing moment that Dylan has made me endure.

Hope you all enjoy the laugh and get a smile.

Today we went on an adventure to cash converters to by little man some new cheap videos ( I am tired of watching Shrek every night ) ( There is only so much one can take of it )

So … there we were and as little man is getting older and wants to be more like us bigger people I don’t always take the stroller and like to let him walk around with me. ( I am trying to teach him the stay here and alike commands).

So the little guy gets a little wrestless just standing there and starts a little tantrum. So … I give him the car and house keys for him to play with as he usually loves them.

Well .. That has fixed the problem .. He is all happy now. And we can continue to look for a video for him.

Then he decides to wander about meter from us and is looking at a stereo. ( He loves music ).

So I am keeping an eye on him and looking and then …

Hmm .. He appears beside me again.

Umm … Where are the keys ?

Did he leave them on the table beside the speakers as I can’t see them on the floor.

I walk over and have a look.

Nope … Not on the table.

Ok … I need to get down to his level.

So … Here I go.

I crouch down and I’m looking at this speaker.

Dyl comes and joins me here nearly on the floor.

Ahh … His hand goes out and straight into the open top hole in the speaker.

Wow … Such small hands I think … and then … it clicks …

Ohh me … Ohh my….

Are my keys in there ? ? ?

I am looking through the bottom hole which .. my luck has the meshy stuff …

Nope I cant see them … should I try shaking it as I cant see them anywhere else.

So I think yeah … where else could they be ?

So here I am shaking the jeepers out of this speaker and what do I hear ? ? ?

A tingle and another tingle.

Ohhh boy !

I look in the bottom hole again …

Doh ! ! ! There they are !

So I shake the jeepers out of this speaker for about half an hour trying to get them out …
No luck as my keys have a little “L” charm on them for Leesa of course don’t they.

And the bottom part of the “L” is well and truly hooked on a wire inside …
I can see them and they are soooo close but I just can’t get em !

So … I have two choices here …

One … I can break the mess on the bottom and try to get my fingers in to unhook them … (Hmm … I’m not one to do that though)

Or Two … Tell the guy behind the counter and get him to unscrew the hole box.

I go with option two.

So … Here I am now waiting for him to finish with his customers and come to my rescue … Hmmm .. still waiting … Finally … 30 minutes later !

( Thank god for Brett knowing the guy or I don’t think I would of got them back ! hehe .. He knows everyone and we always get held up talking where ever we go. Today … I was thankful for it for a change )

So he takes the speaker up to the front counter and the other workers are all … Umm .. What are you doing ?

And he says at the top of his voice across the room … “ The kid put the keys in the top hole and they won’t come out” … They whole store stopped, every one looked and then those that held back the giggles and the laugh all had a major smile across their faces and the look “ Thank god its not me!”

After he unscrews the whole box finally the keys are delivered back to my safe hands. I pay for Dyls new videos, gratefully thank the guy and make a quick exit.

Not with out him giving me two lollipops and the remark … One for the trouble maker to keep his hands free and one for the mum who has supplied me with the funniest moment of my whole career while working here.

Looking back now … I can’t help but smile and laugh …

I just hope it was first and last to those kind of moments though.

I got a few new videos to go watch now.

Nighty night

For all the men who wonder what goes on in the women's public washrooms.

My mother was a fanatic about public toilets.

As a little girl, she'd bring me in the stall, teach me to wad up toilet paper and wipe the seat. Then, she'd carefully lay strips of toilet paper to cover the seat. Finally, she'd instruct, "Never, never sit on a public toilet seat." And she'd demonstrate "The Stance," which consisted of balancing over the toilet in a sitting position without actually letting any of your flesh make contact with the toilet seat. But by this time, I'd have wet down my leg. And we'd go home.

That was a long time ago. Even now in our more mature years, The Stance is excruciatingly difficult to maintain when one's bladder is especially full. When you have to "go" in a public bathroom, you find a line of women that makes you think there's a half-price sale on Mel Gibson's underwear in there. So, you wait and smile politely at all the other ladies, also crossing their legs and smiling politely. And you finally get closer. You check for feet under the stall doors. Every one is occupied.

Finally, a stall door opens and you dash, nearly knocking down the woman leaving the stall. You get in to find the door won't latch. It doesn't matter. You hang your purse on the door hook, yank down your pants and assume "The Stance." Relief. More relief.

Then your thighs begin to shake. You'd love to sit down but you certainly hadn't taken time to wipe the seat or lay toilet paper on it, so you hold The Stance as your thighs experience a quake that would register an eight on the Richter scale.

To take your mind off it, you reach for the toilet paper. The toilet paper dispenser is empty. Your thighs shake more. You remember the tiny tissue that you blew your nose on-that's in your purse. It would have to do. You crumble it in the puffiest way possible. It is still smaller than your thumbnail.

Someone pushes open your stall door because the latch doesn't work and your purse whams you in the head. Occupied!" you scream as you reach out for the door, dropping your tissue in a puddle and falling backward, directly onto the toilet seat.

You get up quickly, but it's too late. Your bare bottom has made contact with the life forms on the bare seat because YOU never laid down toilet paper, not that there was any, even if you had enough time to. And your mother would be utterly ashamed of you if she knew, because her bare bottom never touched a public toilet seat because, frankly, "You don't know what kind of diseases you could get."

And by this time, the automatic sensor on the back of the toilet is so confused that it flushes, sending up a stream of water akin to a fountain and then it suddenly sucks everything down with such force that you grab onto the toilet paper dispenser for fear of being dragged to China. At that point, you give up.

You're soaked by the splashing water. You're exhausted. You try to wipe with a Chicklet wrapper you found in your pocket, then slink out inconspicuously to the sinks. You can't figure out how to operate the sinks with the automatic sensors, so you wipe your hands with spit and a dry paper towel and walk past a line of women, still waiting, cross-legged and unable to smile politely at this point.

One kind soul at the very end of the line points out that you are trailing a piece of toilet paper on your shoe as long as the Mississippi River! You yank the paper from your shoe, plunk it in the woman's hand and say warmly, "Here. You might need this."

At this time, you see your spouse, who has entered, used and exited his bathroom and read a copy of War and Peace while waiting for you. "What took you so long?" he asks, annoyed. This is when you kick him sharply in the shin and go home.

This is dedicated to all women everywhere who have ever had to deal with a public toilet. And it finally explains to all you men what takes us so long.

Woot Woot ppl !

This Little Miss got the job !

Yes it is official ….

I now in addition to everything else …

Am going to work outside of the home as well !

I am on top of the world …

But …

I am extremely anxious too.

I am looking forward to getting out of the house

But I am dreading the morning when I have to

drop little man off.

I think I can keep the extra pace up yet I know

I am going to miss spending time with Dylan.

But …

Looking to the long term plan …

I will now be able to comfortably save enough

Hehe and spend enough so every 5 or 6 weeks

we can do a long weekend flying trip up to

Queensland to see the folks and the rest of the family.

I know I miss my mum and my bros and I am sure

they are missing the two of us.

And it beats the usual twice a year trips home…

Although I still intend on taking 4 to 6 weeks

off at Christmas as well … hehe …

So … what dose this mean for the poor old space ? ? ?

Neglected it shall not be as I will still in addition

spend just as much time on here.

So … I start tomorrow ppl …

Single mother …

In a job interview that

is the one word that can

send your whole entire

future employment

opportunity

out the window !

Why

are people so self minded

towards single parents ?

Yes

I am a single parent and

Yes

I do currently work …

In fact …

I may work more than

most ppl out there.

I have four jobs …

Two of them

part time casual …

I run my own small

home based business.

And

I am a full time

stay at home mum.

Yet …

I went for another job

interview yesterday though …

Why do you say ?

Am I not busy

enough as it is ?

I went for a

number of reasons …

1.)

I want a better life

for my son …

(Face facts …

That takes money

to some degree)

2.)

I want to expand

my social circle …

(100% of my

employment is at

home …At some

point … I would

like to be able to talk

with ppl face to face …

not just on the phone

or over a computer)

3.)

I want to work …

I want to make a good

future for me and my son.

Now my son

is not spoilt …

And we do not live

beyond our means …

But I don’t think

there is anything wrong

With having some

rainy day money.

And being able to

splurge on special occasions.

Single parents

are the best employees

you can get !

WHY ?

1.)

We don’t take sick days …

We save them for

when our child is not well.

2.)

We don’t slack off …

We can’t afford to …

At the end of the day …

If we don’t bring

home the bacon …

We have no one else

to do it for us.

3.)

We are organized …

But …

we work well with

being thrown hiccups

in the system …

Our daily life

revolves around it …

When have you

ever seen a childs day

go fully by

mummys ideal plan ? ? ?

4.)

We can move mountains

and perform

miracles in minutes.

5.)

We tend to be more

“sensitive”

to others needs …

We are givers now …

That is our nature.

Yes …

there are days that

some things are

just uneventful

and things are a hassle

but in all

truth and reality …

Sit down and analyze

your staff and all

your work colleges …

How many times have

they had a hard week

end on the grog and

called in sick …

lol …

(I can’t remember

the last time I got

shattered)

How many times

have they come late ? …

( Just as many as us …)

How many days

do they leave early ? …

( Just as many as us)

Ppl and employees

need to stop being

so small minded…

I have the family

& friend support

to do this …

If I didn’t …

I wouldn’t

be attempting it …

After all …

The last thing

“Us Singles”

need is another

disappointment of

things that did not work …

Our life is hard and

challenging enough from

others out there that

we don’t set up

disappointment

for ourselves …

I have the

Skills…

Experience …

Qualifications …

Right Attitude …

And …

I’m perfect for

any job I apply too …

I just have a child.

They … Them …

Maybe You …

Need to …

Look honestly

at the facts …

Forget the social

stigma branding us …

Get over it ….

Get some cuts …

Show some courage …

And give us a break !
